Family Mortar and Pestle Workshop at Kampar
This one’s for the kids! On Saturday, December 7th from 11am-12pm, Kampar is thrilled to host Patricia Tanumihardja, author of “Mortar and Pestle — Classic Indonesian Recipes for the Modern Kitchen” and Clay Kitchen Studio ceramicist Miki Palchick for an interactive family-friendly event.
Kids (5 and older please) and adults alike will learn to make sambals and sauces the traditional way — with a mortar and pestle!
Miki’s handthrown mortars and pestles, and Pat’s picture books and other cookbooks from @theheadandthehand Bookstore will also be for sale.
