Kiki Aranita’s Center City restaurant may have closed during the pandemic, but the spirit of her Hawaii-style cuisine lives on in a new line of sauces. Based on a typical Hawaiian condiment, Aranita’s Chili Peppah Water ($8.50) features Pennsylvania peppers in a spicy and vinegary mixture. Her Maui Lavender Ponzu has salty, citrusy and herbal notes, “it turned out to be the perfect thing.” She recommends using it to season fish. Both sauces are also available in the form of dry seasoning blends ($6—$6.50). Get them shipped anywhere in the U.S., or pick them up at Musi restaurant in Pennsport.
