After former Daily News “V for Veg” column writer Vance Lehmkuhl discovered this tidbit, he started doing veg history tours here in 2019. Since last summer, he and the American Vegan Center have been offering engaging 76-minute-long tours covering Philadelphia history, from the early 18th century through the early 21st century. On the Old City strolls, you’ll learn about Ben Franklin and more surprising veg pioneers.
