Philly Chefs Come Together for the City's Biggest Food Bank
Chef Eli Kulp first connected with the Share Food program when he was looking for a nonprofit to partner with for one of his Delicious City podcast supper clubs. But as he got to know the group, the largest food bank in the Philadelphia area, he knew he wanted his support to be ongoing. Kulp knows that one of the best ways to raise a nonprofit’s profile is to connect it with big-name chefs who cook for events and fundraisers. To that end, Kulp is launching a new group, Chefs 4 Share. “It’s a network of chefs working across the industry,” he says. “So when Share needs chef partners, they can connect with this group of chefs who want to help.” Though the organization is still coming together, Kurt Evans, Bobby Stina, and Rachel Klein are all early members. Starting this fall, look out for Chefs 4 Share–powered events. Stay up to date by signing up for the Share Food Program’s email newsletter at ShareFoodProgram.org. If you’re a chef wanting to get involved, contact Kulp directly at eli@chefradio.com.
