The Spears are Here - Spring is the Time for Beautiful Asparagus
We know that spring is really upon us when we finally get ahold of bunches of beautiful asparagus. Vegetal and herbaceous, it’s wonderful roasted or raw. Make sure you eat as much as you can before it’s gone.
Asparagus that’s white instead of green isn’t the result of some science experiment. It’s just regular asparagus that’s been grown under soil or some other covering to keep light out!
STEAMED UP
Roasting is all the rage, but lightly steaming your spears will give a lighter, brighter flavor. Juicy, crisp-tender asparagus is spring on a plate.
GRILLED ASPARAGUS
Film trimmed asparagus spears with olive oil and season well with salt and pepper. Grill, turning occasionally, over high heat until tender and charred spots appear. Robust grilled asparagus is the perfect side for those first spring cookouts.
