Madura Chaudhari, owner of the Chai Bar, wants to expand your idea of what chai tea can be. Of course, she sells the authentic black tea and spices blend you may already know. But her line also includes lesser known chai blends like this mix of green tea leaves, cinnamon, dried pink rose petals, cardamom and star anise. In Sanskrit, Astrakadir translates to “eye-pleasing pink,” and one look at the brewed blend confirms its name. Chaudhari learned to brew this specific blend from her best friend’s mother, and it remains a favorite. The flavors are sweet, salty, creamy and nutty with a delicate spiced floral aroma.
