AARON GORDON IS CONSTANTLY CRAFTING innovative drink concepts along with his team at 13th Street Cocktails. What started on the top floor of an apartment at 13th and Chestnut has evolved into a mobile choose-your-own-adventure experience complete with anything and everything from drinks to oysters to wood-fired pizza. 13th Street conceptualizes beverage experiences where no detail is left unattended, and no request is too bold. Aaron is a character. He’ll sugarcoat a cocktail glass before he’ll sugarcoat a conversation. There’s no tolerance for mediocrity or laziness; shortcuts are out of the question for his operations.
Recognizing the importance of being nimble allows Aaron and the team to adjust and grow as environments and guest expectations shift, an important consideration for a mobile operation. Nothing about anything they do is mundane. It also doesn’t hurt that Aaron is insanely creative when it comes to beverage design. It’s learning what works (and what doesn’t) along with the willingness to experiment and a solid commitment to hospitality that separates Aaron and the team at 13th Street from the other mobile carts that are out there.
