Pennsylvania farmers are dealing with a dairy crisis. Excess supply is keeping milk prices low.

Want to help? Sue Miller of Birchrun Hills Farm in Chester Springs has some tips on how we can help support local dairies like hers:

  • Ask your grocery store to stock milk produced in our region.
  • Buy more local dairy products.
  • Buy directly from dairy farmers and cheesemakers at farmers’ markets.
  • Look for Abundantly Good cheese, made with local farmers’ excess milk bought through Philadbundance’s upcycle program. (Available at Riverwards Produce and Di Bruno Bros.)
