Join Hungry Education and special guests, Jason Sheehan, former chef, food writer, and Sci-Fi author, and experience designer Paul Haupt of thehaupthaus.com, as we look at the different ways Sci-Fi cinema has portrayed the future of food correctly. We’ll explore themes such as identity, scarcity, looming threats, and end-stage capitalism through food and food practices as depicted in beloved films such as Star Wars, Blade Runner, Wall-e, and the Alien franchise. Whether you are a glass-half-empty dystopian or glass-half-full utopian, we guarantee you’ll see the future of food in a whole new light.
