Greensgrow Farms Spring Fair
Kick off a great spring season at Greensgrow Farms on April 7 from 11am – 3pm! They’ll be announcing winners of Mary’s Community Fund and celebrating the start of spring with hands-on demos all day plus a Plant Swap and Seed Swap from 12-2pm. The garden center will be stocked with seeds, soil, and spring annuals for this time of year. All quart perennials will be $1 off for the entire month of April to celebrate the start of the gardening season! Chef Carolynn will be serving some fresh local food from Greengrow’s community kitchen, too.
PaperTHINK tank will be making hand-made paper all day onsite. Nichole Gerding from Thankful Sage Farm School will be doing a heritage cooking pit demo and discuss traditional soap and candle making. Join Owen Taylor, owner of True Love Seeds and former manager of the William Woys Weaver’s historic Roughwood Seed Collection, for a community Seed Swap! He’ll discuss keeping seeds, building sovereignty and open pollination for all you seed lovers out there. Plant lovers, propagators and Members of Philly Plant Exchange are invited to come out to the Plant Swap to share cuttings and plants.
