Becoming U.S.: Food & Culture
Food is one of the strongest identifiers of place and home, and as such it can unite and separate us. This unique program will feature a panel discussion and cooking demonstration with culinary leaders in Philadelphia whose identities have informed their approach to cooking and food as vehicles for learning and community building. Come share your experiences and enjoy tastings in the kitchen.
This program is presented by the Culinary Literacy Center, in partnership with the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, as part of its Becoming U.S. series, to foster a renewed appreciation for the histories of Philadelphians who have experienced transition and settlement while maintaining and exploring cultural identities. Pre-registration is required via Eventbrite; tickets are $10 per person.
